If you've not gotten to Jeremy Robert Johnson's In The River, here's your chance to get a copy.
We've got one giveaway copy that goes to the winner of this short writing contest.
The Rules
Length: Maximum 250 words (toldja it was mini!), no minimum.
Theme: "Fish stories." So a big lie, a boastful tale. Something that makes me think you (or your narrator) are probably full of shit, but damn it, the story is good and I keep listening anyway.
To Enter: Slap your text into a comment on this thread.
Deadline: May 26th, the year of our lord 2018.
Judging: I'll have an impartial judge, meaning someone who doesn't know any of you, pick the best story. This will be a reader, but probably not a writer. It's a pure gut decision on their part, so make it interesting.
Winner: The winner gets a lightly used copy sent via snail mail. Or, if you're an international entry, a digital copy so as to make sure I can also pay rent this month.
