Signed on today to this site and decided to expose myself (not in that way).
I am semi-retired and have been - finally - trying to do something with my writing. However, I am isolated, feeling alone - I spent a lot of time in front of the typer (as Bukowski called it). I have made some attempts at getting published, but I have not made the all consuming effort I believe is required.
I am looking for companionship of like-minded individuals - creative people who burn to express themselves, who are not afraid to be passionate and vulnerable.
I am looking for inspiration, advice, experience, knowledge and anything else that will fuel my soul and help me to reach my goals.

Hey all!
Another newbie here! I live in Welsh Wales. I've dabbled in scriptwriting on and off in the past and I've wanted to turn my hand to fiction. I have tried several times to push myself into getting better writing habits but fall flat when I get critical of what I see as poorly formed concepts. Hoping joining a community of writers will give me a bit more of a drive to actually get on and get lots written!

Hi All,
I have just signed on. I am based in regional Australia and have been writing fiction for about 2 years. I have half a dozen short stories complete and a novel nearly complete but nothing as yet published. I am planning to get serious about submitting the short stories soon to get some runs on the board for the novel. I tend to write slightly weird magic realism, some Gothic, and often satirical stuff. Any tips about where to submit would be appreciated.
