Hi. I'm TurtleM. Turtle b/c I'm kind of a slower writer (although still faster than some, what's a medium speed animal? A zombie?). I am a full-time professional. Kind of making a living at this somehow. As an indie.

I'm afraid I won't ever figure out this forum interface lol. It's buggy on my Chromebook. I keep having to stop the page load and then reload and then the post I want to read will pop up.
Right now I'm in romance but I'm looking to move into mystery and fantasy b/c I am tired of love scenes. OMG. I'm starting to hate love.
And I'm thinking about submitting to pro short story markets because I think my ideas are competitively original (aka no one else is writing them in romance...because no one really wants original romance. At least not in huge numbers. I know. I've been doing weird original shit for years to prove the theory. How do I make a living at this again?)

Everything is up-to-date on your Chromebook?
You've attempted to clear cache/crush cookies and then start fresh?
These sorts of issues aren't happening on other sites?
If these are all correct, then let's see if we can't figure out what might be going on.

Hello. Heather Miles, here. Just as lost as Turtle. Is it me or is this platform major confusing? I'm just be-bopping around on here aimlessly. I write contemporary and erotic romance. I use the word erotic somewhat loosely. I didn't want to select erotica as my "what I write" genre, but it was the closest thing to my brand of romance. Erotic Romance is where my governing body, Romance Writers of America, slots my books, but they are thoroughly plot driven. The sex is just hot! What can I say? I am currently working on three different manuscripts and toying with the idea of writing a YA for my daughter who'd love to be able to read something by her mother. The four novels I've penned aren't on her twelve year old reading list:/ I also narrate audiobooks on the side. I'm busy, but not too busy to hangout here and checkout what everyone's doing. I'm just scrambling to put it all into perspective. Where to be? And, I've earned 15 points which allows me to submit what? Anywho, back to book four in my series.

I have taken a few stabs at erotica, as sexual politics in general are high on my list of fascinating. Do submit. Love to see it. I hang out in the Writiers Workshop as a rule. I love the craft essays that are available on this site, and there are interesting things to keep track of. I watch fo new stuff in the workshop. critiiques can be a little slow, but are usually pretty meaty and interesting. Check out the people teaching in the classes online in the site, and just keep looking around. Great to have you here. If you want to see if there is activity in places you have visited or posted, hit the track button under your profile pic, and it will show you where you've been and if there is anything new in that spot. Maybe you already know that. Took me a while to figure that out. gsr

Other than that, the most useful way I've found to divide things goes like this:
There's the part I call The Magazine, which is where you'll find the articles. It's the stuff mostly listed on the front page when you hit litreactor.com.
There's The Community, which is where we are now. This is like a forum from days of yore. If you're unfamiliar with forums, think of it like a collection of chat rooms where the chat happens more slowly.
There's The Workshop. This is where writers review each others' works and then submit their own for review. Great place to get some critique, especially if you're currently without a writing group.
There are also the classes. These are paid classes conducted by some pretty great writers. They have different ways of going about the classes, but generally use a combination of text posts, videos, and so on to create an online class.
